Ernst Brinck (1582-1649), burgomaster of Hardewijk, kept no less than three alba. He began the first of these in 1602 during a stay in Paris where he was a student, but he waited for the real thing until he had returned to the Netherlands. The booklet contains a mixture of contributions by noblemen, particularly from the east of the country, and prominent scholars such as Vulcanius, Arminius, Goma…
