Leprosy: a red patch on an Indian man's arm causing two fingers to bend. Watercolour (by Jane Jackson ?), 1921/1950 (?), after a (painting ?) by Ernest Muir, ca. 1921.
Lettering: Nerve leprosy. The nerve supplying the fingers was invaded from the patch above the elbow, hence the claw-like appearance of the two fingers. If such a patient is kept in good health, he should recover entirely. From Dr. E. Muir's original.
