Ad Innocentius papam VIII oratio
This oration by Guillaume Caoursin (d.1501) was delivered in the presence of the pope, cardinals and curia. The Pope was Giovanni Battista Cybo (1432-1492), a Genoese nobleman of Greek extraction. Elected on 29 August 1484, he succeeded Pope Sixtus IV and assumed the name of Innocent VIII.
