1911 hat der US-amerikanische Wissenschaftler Hiram Bingham die einstige Stadt der Inkas in den Bergen der Anden wiederentdeckt. Machu Picchu bestand aus Tempeln, Palästen, Altären, Plätzen, Straßen, Wegen, Bädern und ca. Wohnstätten für adlige und privilegierte Familien des Inka-Staates. Aufgenommen in Machu Picchu am 4.
