Farnese Atlas
Statue of Atlas kneeling with the celestial sphere. It is decorated with low reliefs depicting 41 classical Greek constellations distinguished by Ptolemy. Roman copy of a Hellenistic original. The statue was found in Rome and acquired by Cardinal Alessandro Farnese in 1562
