Dragon slayer
Il s’agit ici de l’interprétation araméenne d’un motif phénicien montrant un fronton triangulaire à palmette entouré d’une frise végétale. Le nom de la baie située au nord de Beyrouth (Saint-Georges) et celui d’une mosquée locale rappellent tous deux la popularité d’un mythe phénicien qui eut un écho dans le texte égyptien « Inaros et les griffons ».
