Fragment of a sculptor's trial piece
Ce fragment de calcaire contient la représentation de deux mains figurées jusqu'au poignet. Celle du dessous a le pouce tendu et les quatre doigts pliés dans la paume. Nous sommes ici en présence d'une étude de sculpteur. Elle faisait partie d'un lot de 18 pièces similaires (E.05820-E.05837) retrouvées sur le site d'Amarna lors des fouilles de W.M.F. Petrie et H.
