Scarab
The base of this small scarab shows a true ‘horror vacui’ of motifs reminiscent of models from the Middle Kingdom. Above, a figure is flanked by two birds, in the middle there is a pair of “wdjat” eyes and the lower part of the composition contains several hieroglyphs (“h”, the solar disk, ducks). The morphology of the scarab does not exclude a Ramessid date.
