The Tipperary Foxhounds
The Tipperary Foxhounds were for many years known as the Grove Hounds.
Mr Thomas Barton established the pack at Grove, Fethard, County Tipperary, and was master for about twenty years up to 1836. The family were keen fox-hunters and kept a private pack for several decades before William Barton officially founded the hunt.
Captain Jacob of Mobarnane bought the pack from William in the mid 1830s …
