Basilica of San Vitale, wall mosaic decoration, apse, semi-dome: Saint Vitale, angel and Christ, detail of the representation of Christ Kosmokrator. On a golden background, three figures are depicted standing on flowered grass. In the centre Christ Kosmokrator, seated on a blue globe and robed in purple, next to a winged angel, is offering with his right hand the martyr's crown to Saint Vitale.
