Saint Pieter Merten
SERIES TITLE:
Children walk along the houses with smoking,
on the occasion of St. Merten (St. Martin). St. Merten is actually Martin of Tours of Pannonia, who was Bishop of Tours since 371. This is a folkloric custom from the northern region of the Netherlands.
