Repatriation of Baltic German from Riga in 1939
Latvian citizens of German nationality prepare to return to the Reich upon the urging of Hitler. By the spring of 1940 more than 51,000 Germans left Latvia. Approximately 10 000 Baltic Germans stayed at homeland. Chronicle shows emigrants in Riga’s port.
