New revolutionary tool for the blind
Week number 76-06
The 'optacon' enables blind people to read printed text by touch. A miniature camera scans the pages, this is converted into electronic vibrations that make the letters tangible through 144 pins. SHOTS: blind child reads braille and reads a piece from encyclopedia using Optacon; cu optacon.
