A Sasvári Pietá kegyszobor metszetmásolata
Copperplate engraving copy of the Pieta statue of Sasvár (Šaštín, Slovakia). According the legend, Angéla Bakics (wife of Palatine Count Imre Czobor) had the statue carved in 1564. It was regarded a miracle-worker statue and many pilgrims visited it. The engraving shows the Virgin Mary sitting on clouds, holding the bleeding Jesus taken from the cross.
