BRONZE AGE AXEHEAD
An incomplete cast copper alloy flanged axehead of early Bronze Age date. The axehead is sub-rectangular in plan with a narrow rounded butt and cutting edge. From the butt the body extends, remaining fairly uniform in width until widening to the splayed blade which is extremely worn and the cutting edge has been lost.
