EARLY MEDIEVAL PIN
An incomplete cast copper alloy pin of early-medieval date. Only the pinhead and a short length of the upper shaft remain intact. The pinhead is polyhedral, with ring and dot decoration in each panel. The shaft has a circular cross-section, and terminates in a worn break.The metal has a light whitish-green patina and is worn. The pin is 13.8mm long, 7.1mm wide, 6.8mm thick and weighs 2.4g.
