POST MEDIEVAL MOUNT
Asymmetrical cast copper alloy mount dating to the 17th century. The mount is roughly tear drop shaped with a protruding decorated terminal at each end. The terminals have oblique incised grooves as decoration and the main body of the mount is undecorated. The reverse is hollowed and there are the remains of two integrally cast lugs used for attachment (one at each end). The mount measures 42.…
