MEDIEVAL SPOON
Medieval copper alloy spoon, probably 15th century. The spoon has a deep fig-shaped bowl with a makers mark stamped at the top of the bowl near where the stem comes off, the makers mark appears to be a rose although it it slightly corroded so impossible to see clearly. The stem has a sub-ovoid section which may have actually been hexagonal at one time but the edges have corroded away. The spoon…
