MEDIEVAL BUTTON
A cast copper alloy button which has a solid circular domed head with a flat back and a rounded loop projecting from the back. It measures 12.6mm from front to back and is 11.2mm in diameter. It has a patchy uneven patina. It is probably late medieval or early post medieval in date. Similar examples can be seen in Bailey (2004) Buttons and Fasteners.
