POST MEDIEVAL BUCKLE
A cast, copper alloy, double loop asymmetrical buckle, dating from c. 1575-1700. There are lobed knops at two symmetrical points on the outer edge of the rounded loop. The frame of the buckle is somewhat corroded, but the inner and outer edges of the frame were possibly bevelled. The frame is bent upwards at the outer edges, suggesting it was a knee or spur buckle.
