ROMAN BROOCH
A damaged copper-alloy Roman gilded disc brooch. The decoration consists of a central deep cell surrounded by two ring cells within a raised border. This in turn is surrounded by an outer ring which has traces of gilding surviving, also within a raised border. There are small diagonal dashed lines in the gilded area, like ropework.
