POST MEDIEVAL MUSKET BALL
A lead alloy musket ball of post-Medieval date, circa 1644. Part of a prominent casting seam can still be seen. The sprue was trimmed with nippers leaving two flat facets. The ball has a pale, yellowish-grey patina. It is 16.9mm in diameter and weighs 28.22gm. The weight suggests it would have been used in a musket.
