MEDIEVAL STUD
A copper alloy heraldic stud dating from the Medieval period, 13th - 14th century. The head is flat and is shaped like a quatrefoil with pointed projections between the lobes. The design has a central square that probably contains a lion. There is a fleur de lis on each side of the square. Traces of red enamel can still be seen in the field.
