POST MEDIEVAL SLAG
A piece of metalworking slag of unknown date. Light-weight, magnetised and slightly convex piece of slag, possibly part of a crucible, or maybe cinder slag. The material is pale grey in the centre; one surface is blackened and the other surface is dark brown in colour; it has a rough and pitted surface, glossy in places, with a purple sheen.
