POST MEDIEVAL STRAP FITTING
A cast copper alloy strap fitting; a sword belt fitting of Post-Medieval date, probable AD 1600 - 1700. It consists of a triangular plate that tapers to a broad, curved hook extending backwards with a blunt point. The plate is slightly curved, being concave on the underside and convex on the front.
