MEDIEVAL KEY (LOCKING)
A cast, copper alloy casket key, London Museum Catalogue type 5, dating from AD1200-1400. The bow is broken, but was probably sub-circular with a small, internal projection where the bow meets the shaft. Between the bow and the circular shaft is a rectangular collar.
