ROMAN BROOCH
A copper alloy Roman disc brooch of the 2nd century AD. The brooch is flat (though slightly bent owing to ancient damage) and originally had eight peripheral lugs, of which four are missing. The pin is also missing, though the catch plate remains. The decoration is of three concentric circles and there are traces of red enamel remaining within the second circle.
