POST MEDIEVAL DRESS FASTENER (DRESS)
A silver dress fastener; the hook piece from a hook and eye catch. It is in the form of an acorn with a cross hatched cup and a smooth acorn. The flat hook projects from the base of the cup and bends backwards in a U shape. There are three circular sewing loops; one at the apex of the acorn, and one on each side of the hook.
