MEDIEVAL BUCKLE
Buckle with integral plate, cast copper alloy, gilt on face, plain D shaped hoop, rectangular plate through which is a single rivet 2.0mm diameter x 4.0mm long. No sign of a hole for a pin. Length 18.5mm, Width 7,9mm, Thickness 1.9mm, Mass 0.74g. Egan and Pritchard (1991, Fig. 68) suggest a date range of c. 1270-1380).
