EARLY MEDIEVAL SWORD
Cast copper alloy pommel cap from a Viking sword of Petersen Type L. Hollow cast, curved shape topped by five rounded projections. Metal section c. 1.3mm. Holes in both the base and top, lower hole oval 18.9 x 17.3, upper hole rectangular 8.3 x 4.8. Condition generally good but with some holes through side walls.
