MEDIEVAL SEAL MATRIX
Medieval (1200-1400AD) cast copper alloy seal matrix. The matrix is circular in plan, and the handle has six facets. There is a moulded collar at the apex of the handle with an incomplete suspension loop. The die depicts two busts facing eachother, surrounded by an unclear legend: + -V--VAS--. The matrix has a diameter of 16.14mm, is 18.67mm long and weighs 6.95 grams.
