POST MEDIEVAL CROTAL
A complete Post-Medieval copper-alloy spherical 'crotal' bell (1650-1850 in date). The bell has been cast in one piece with an integral suspension loop. The loop is sub-square in plan view with tapering sides. The loop hole is blocked by corrosion but was probably circular.
