Incomplete Roman cast copper alloy 'Dolphin' or colchester derivative brooch. The brooch has tubular wings, each with 5 vertical mouldings on the front face. The reverse of the wings has a central slot where ther hinged pin is attached, and the chord for the hinge can be seen terminating at the flat, circular terminals of the wings.
