EARLY MEDIEVAL BROOCH
Incomplete copper alloy early medieval small-long brooch. The head plate of this brooch is trefoil shaped in plan with crescentic lobes. Each lobe is decorated around its curved edge with a double punched row of ‘V’ shapes with the points facing outwards (the inner row smaller so that it sits within the outer row).
