ROMAN NEEDLE
Incomplete Roman bone needle. What remains of this needle is the upper or head portion. It has a flat spatulate head with a rectangular eye that is 5.6mm long. The shaft is circular in section, and has a diagonal break, which due to its colour being the same as the rest of the object, presumably occurred in antiquity.
