ROMAN BROOCH
Roman cast copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch fragment. Only the head and wings partially survive. The wings are rectangular with a 'C' shaped cross section; they are undecorated except for two grooves flanking either side of the bow. The reverse of the wings has a worn break where the pin lug would have been located to secure the (missing) sprung pin. There is a pronounced rib on the bow. …
