POST MEDIEVAL BUCKLE
An almost complete, cast copper alloy asymetrical buckle dating to the Post Medieval. The buckle is broadly rectangular with a rounded outer side that terminates in a trefoil knop. The frame and strap bar is 'D'-shaped in section with a flat back and curving upper face. The pin is missing, however corrosion product around the strap bar suggests it was made of iron.
