EARLY MEDIEVAL HOOKED TAG
Almost complete cast copper alloy Anglo-Saxon hooked tag of 8th century date. The tag has a flat, elongated triangular plate. Extending from the tip of the triangle is the integral pointed hook which curves back the rear of the object. This is now truncated and survives for no longer than 5.4mm.
