POST MEDIEVAL MUSKET BALL
Post-medieval cast lead alloy musket ball. The musket ball, or possibly a 'domed bullet' shows signs of impact on one half of the dome and the base has a slightly concave aspect. This is usually indicative that it was fired as part of a double load. The ball was found in the same field as other musket balls near Torrington, an area associated with the civil war.
