MEDIEVAL BUCKLE
Medieval oval buckle frame, made from cast copper alloy. The bar is offset and narrower than the rest of the frame. The pin is missing. The outside edge of the frame has three grooves in the centre, and two knops projecting from it. A similar, but slightly larger, buckle is illustrated in Egan and Pritchard 1991, p73, number 299.
