MEDIEVAL BUCKLE
Medieval cast copper alloy circular buckle. The pin is attached and complete. The pin has a transverse ridge. A notch for the pin can be seen on the left side of the frame. Buckles of this type date to c1250-1450 AD. A similar, larger, buckle can be seen in 'Buckles 1250 - 1800' by Ross Whitehead No. 35 pg 17. See below for detailed reference.
