POST MEDIEVAL COIN
A postmedieval silver sixpence of William III (AD 1694 - 1702). The coin is very worn on both faces and has been bent in two places to form a 'S shape in profile. Worn and bent coins of this period are thought to have been re-used as love tokens. Spink (2011) numbers 3520 - 3539.
