EARLY MEDIEVAL PIN
Incomplete cast copper alloy dress pin of middle Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) date. The pin is globular headed (or sub-spherical) in form, with the head decorated with incised ring and dot motifs. A short length of the circular-sectioned pin survives below the head. The pin has been dated AD 700-920.
