EARLY MEDIEVAL STIRRUP
Early medieval stirrup mount; cast copper alloy stirrup mount of Viking design, dating from the period 1025-1100. This mount can be identified as being of Williams' Class A, Type 8. The mount is sub-triangular in shape with a small plate extending out backwards from the base of the triangle.
