IRON AGE SLAG
Sub-circular lump of slag (probably). Grey matrix containing numerous porous iron rich spheres (diameter range 3mm-8mm) each with an outer orange shell (prseumbably due to oxidisation); some white quartz sands also in the matrix. Unknown date and method of production. Length 63mm, width 39mm, weight 68.8mm.
