POST MEDIEVAL BUCKLE
Post Medieval Buckle: Complete cast copper alloy single rectangular shaped buckle with drilled frame for separate central spindle. The pin and attachment chape are still in place around the spindle. The chape, which is sub-triangular in shape, has a raised circular rivet at one endBuckles of this type are typically dated c.1690-1720.
