ROMAN VESSEL
A copper alloy Roman (AD c.43-c.402) vessel mount. Overall, the object measures c.31mm long, c.22mm wide and c.13mm thick. The mount is broadly oval in shape and has a semi-circular hollow cross-section. The moulded decoration is anthropomorphic, depicting the face of a bearded man wearing a helmet with a central ridge.
