MEDIEVAL BUCKLE
Complete copper alloy Medieval buckle frame, trapezoid in outline with a central bar forming two loops. The pin is missing. The outer frame is a rounded square in section and the strap bar is sub-oval in section. See FAKL-5CAEA0 for a similar item and see Egan & Pritchard's, 'Dress Accessories', p.101, fig 64, number 469 for a published example. Dated c. 1350-1450.
