Casimir Balp was born in Barcelonnette (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) in 1895. Like his twin brother Fortuné. At the time of the mobilization in August 1914, he resided in Mexico, where he worked in the fabric trade. The documents show that the two brothers have a good level of education.
