Jean Vincent Soldier during the Orient campaign
Born on October 31, 1895 in Pin-en-Mauges (Maine-et-Loire), Jean Vincent was incorporated on December 17, 1914 into the 23rd colonial infantry regiment (Paris). He was made a corporal on April 21, 1915. He left for the front with the 3rd RIC on September 5, 1915. Life was spent between exercises at the Mailly camp and guarding in the trenches in the sector.
